Chronicler of ‘Judas’ Dylan dies at 70 … RIP CP Lee

Mancunian music pundit and legend CP Lee has died.

He was a leading force behind Alberto y Lost Trios Paranoias and many other Manchester music movements including sixties band Greasy Bear.

He was 70 years old.

Lee was Born in Didsbury in 1950 and became a well-known writer, broadcaster, lecturer and performer.

Alberto y Lost Trios Paranoias was a satirical rock review and amazingly part of the Manchester punk scene. They split up in 1982 after three albums.

He was probably best known for writing about the night Dylan  was heckled as ‘Judas’ at Manchester Free trade Hall.

On tours throughout 1965 and 1966, his electric sets (now backed by The Hawks were met with derisiveness from the audience.
