  1. An interesting debate. Trump and the insurrection were at the heart of it. However, it became more and more pertinent to the role of the media and through that route to where freedom of speech begins and ends. All big themes which could be taken up in future debates. My only other reaction is that I don’t see the necessity to take up a right wing and left wing stance in any of these areas. Each of them, Trump’s intent to incite, the role of the media and freedom of speech are above and beyond political agendas. If other viewers have been drawn into the debate as have I, I hope they’ll comment.

I’ve studied the human ego quite a bit. There is the inferior ego and the superior ego. The inferior ego has a strong desire to be superior and the superior ego has a strong desire not to be inferior. Trump to me falls in the superior ego category and is over the top narcissistic, he serves no one but himself and what he gains. And I see most of his supporters have the same personality traits as him. You can tell here simply by who wears mask or not. I don’t hate trump either but what I do hate is how unconscious (blind) over 70 million people are who voted for him can not see right thru him. This deeply concerns me.
As far as the news and social media, everyone deserves a platform to speak. If you don’t like what they are saying, don’t watch or read it. I watch both cnn and Fox News to hear quite different perspectives. I try to keep an open mind to both.
This will be a crazy week ahead.
